Study Program Courses:

Creating Space: Clarity and Insight through Meditation
Meditation is the basis of the spiritual path and the cornerstone for a focused daily life. This course provides instruction in the basic elements of meditation – breathing, posture, stabilizing the mind, coping with distractions as well as establishing a daily meditation practice.

Deepening Awareness: The Practice of Mindfulness Meditation
Becoming more aware of our thoughts, feelings and sensations through meditation opens the door to understanding the nature of our mind and how it creates our experience. This course is open to all, but is recommended to follow Creating Space: Clarity and Insight Through Meditation

The Healing Practice of White Tara
Tara is the mother goddess of Tibetan Buddhism, known for her quick and compassionate activity. She is particularly associated with healing and long life. This course uses visualization techniques relying on the feminine energy of White Tara to overcome physical, mental and emotional suffering.

Ganden Lha Gyema Workshop
This work shop is based on one of the most popular recitation texts in the Tsong Khapa tradition and serves to deepen the connection with your spiritual teacher and with this tradition in particular. It includes elements of a daily meditation practice, as well as guided visualization using the Migtsema mantra.

The following courses are run in a study group format, including a presentation by the instructor, opportunity for discussion and guided meditation:

The Art of Living (formerly called, "Good Life, Good Death")
Based on the national bestselling book by Gelek Rimpoche, this course explores how the Tibetan Buddhist perspective can be utilized by anyone, of any faith, to bring depth, meaning and joy to daily life.

Gateway to the Spiritual Path
This course focuses on preparatory practices and foundational topics of the spiritual path. Gelek Rimpoche’s Transforming Negativity and The Three Principles of the Path transcripts are the core texts.

Odyssey to Freedom
Gelek Rimpoche created the Odyssey to Freedom as a concise and complete Lam Rim outline. The Odyssey encompasses the stages of the spiritual path from whatever your current situation is, to full enlightenment. Each topic is also addressed in a short videotaped teaching by Gelek Rimpoche. This course has 43 classes and is run in several sections, taking approximately 18 months to complete.

The Three Principles of the Path
The Three Principles of the Path is a condensed summation of the path to enlightenment, which includes the determination to be free, compassion, and wisdom. Gelek Rimpoche's forthcoming book on the Three Principles will serve as course material.
