GoodLife, Good Death – Join us for a lively discussion of how the Tibetan Buddhist perspective can be utilized to bring depth, meaning and joy to daily life, based on the national bestselling book by Gelek Rimpoche.

The Healing Practice of White Tara  – Tara is the mother goddess of Tibetan Buddhism, known for her quick and compassionate activity.  Join us for an introduction to the healing and long-life practices of White Tara.

Creating Space: Clarity and Insight through Meditation – Meditation provides us with a clear stable mind, necessary for a happy life as well the foundation for deepening our spiritual journey.  This condensed course offers hands-on experience using breath, posture and techniques for coping with distractions and laxity of the mind.  

Dates: Wednesdays, July 5, 12, 19, 26
Time: 7-8:30 pm

Gateway to the Spiritual Path – This course focuses on preparatory practices and foundational topics of the spiritual path.

Dates: Sundays, September 10, 17, 24,
October 1, 8, 15, 22, 29          
Time: 9-10:30 am
Supporting Members no charge, Non-Members $80

 

Creating Space – This course introduces the basic elements of meditation – breathing, posture, stabilizing the mind, coping with distractions as well as establishing a daily meditation practice.

October 4, 11,18, 25  
Time: 7:00 – 8:30pm
Supporting Members no charge, Non-Members $80

Odyssey to Freedom – This on-going course focuses on how one can seek freedom from sufferings and introduces the 12 links of interdependent origination and the Three Higher Trainings of the Tibetan Buddhist path. New members welcome.

White Tara Workshop for Healing and Long Life – Tara is the mother goddess of Tibetan Buddhism particularly associated with healing and long life.  This day-long workshop uses visualization techniques relying on the feminine energy of White Tara to overcome physical, mental and emotional suffering.
Date: Sunday, October 22        Time: 11:00 a.m.-4 p.m. with lunch break 1-2 p.m. Supporting Members no charge, Non-Members $35
