Odyssey to Freedom – Section Two: Contemplating Our Situation: Challenges and Opportunities of a Spiritual Life
Gelek Rimpoche created the Odyssey to Freedom as a concise and complete introduction to the stages of the spiritual path from wherever you are right now to full enlightenment. Each class begins with a short videotaped teaching on the evening’s topic by Gelek Rimpoche. This continuation of a course that began in September is an ideal introduction to Tibetan Buddhism for new and less experienced students. Topics for this section include exploring the benefits and responsibilities of a relationship with a teacher, appreciating your life, and understanding what can help in life and in death. New students are welcome to join the class.

Lam Rim I: The Initial Scope – Section Four
The Lam Rim, or stages on the path to enlightenment, precisely outlines the entire spiritual path and is Je Tsongkhapa's most important legacy. Topics in this section include refuge and karma. The fourth in a series of linked courses based on transcripts of the extraordinary Lam Rim teachings of Gelek Rimpoche. Includes guided analytical meditation on the Lam Rim points.
10 classes, Sundays 10 –11:45 am. First class September 13

White Tara Practice Sessions / Sunday talks live from Ann Arbor
Join us for guided meditation and group practice in the healing and long-life practices of White Tara. These sessions are an ideal introduction to Tibetan Buddhist meditation for new and less experienced students. NOTE: When Gelek Rimpoche or Aura Glaser, teacher and co-founder of Jewel Heart, is giving a Sunday talk in Ann Arbor, we will tune in to the live videocast.

The Swift Path with Gelek Rimpoche / Live Video Webcasts
Join Gelek Rimpoche for a series of teachings videocast live from Ann Arbor, Michigan. In this series, Rimpoche will teach on The Swift Path, or Nyur Lam in Tibetan. Composed by the Third Panchen Lama, this text succinctly lays the ground for spiritual development through clear and relevant topics for visualization and analytical meditations.

November 1 – Finding the Joy Within – Gelek Rimpoche
The increasingly stressful conditions of our interconnected world can drain our personal resources, whether financial, physical, mental, emotional or spiritual. Gelek Rimpoche will share how Buddha’s tools of compassion and wisdom create the basis for joy and understanding to flourish in our lives, even amid these trying times.
