Saga Dawa Tsoh Offering

This year,Thursday, May 27 is Saga Dawa, the day on which Tibetans commemorate Buddha's birth, enlightenment and parinirvana. On this most auspicious day, the power
of our positive actions is amplified many times as we celebrate Buddha's enlightened life.

A Lama Chopa tsoh will be offered at 7 pm. We will practice the tsoh a little more elaborately than usual, with more verses sung in Tibetan. Please bring ritual implements if you have them, and the blue JH Prayer Book (center copies also available). All are welcome to attend, and newcomers will have plenty of help in keeping track of where we are in the practice. Please bring a food or monetary offering to contribute, and come a little early if you can to help clean and set up.

JH Cleveland News

In and April we enjoyed a busy schedule of classes and broadcasts. A special highlight was our Spring Sangha Gathering with a Cleveland premier showing of the documentary Blessings: The Tsoknyi Nangchen Nuns of Tibet. For those who missed this wonderful film, a copy is available in the JH library, or see David Hunter for information on purchasing your own.
The SCEC (Sangha Council Executive Committee) met in April to deal with the practicalities of running a center and to begin planning for this summer's events.
