Food drive to continue throughout the year

The economic crisis has stretched thin resources of many people in Cleveland. Lend a hand by bringing in a can of food every so often when you visit the center, so that Jewel Heart can contribute to relieving hunger in our community.

Silent Auction Donations Needed

Our Silent Auction, one of our biggest local fundraisers, will be starting in late June. Please bring new or gently used treasures to donate for this to any Jewel Heart event from now through June 21.

JH Cleveland News

In March we were very happy to have Kyabje Gelek Rimpoche give a weekend teaching on a brief dedication verse by Nagarjuna. As usual, Rimpoche spoke in a way that was direct and accessible to both beginners and longtime students, inspiring us to remember our ultimate purpose. A joy-filled weekend for all of us.

The JH cookbook is on schedule for release in July - it will contain well over 200 recipes, including Tibetan specialties - you won't want to miss Rimpoche's recipe for spicy hot lamb chops!

JH Cleveland has upgraded to high-speed cable internet, which has greatly improved the quality of our live video broadcasts which include Sunday talks by Rimpoche, the continuing Nyur Lam teachings on Tuesdays, Vajrayana weekend teachings, and occasional Sunday talks by senior students. If you haven't experienced these live broadcasts, stop by and see for yourself - as David puts it "We all get to sit in the front row!"

Many, many thanks to Elliot for thinking of this useful feature, working with our webmaster to implement it, and keeping it updated!

The Sangha council executive committee meets on a bimonthly basis to coordinate and support activities at the center. The Dharma coordinators have also met to plan to Dharma programs through the fall.
