The Five Buddha Families
with Glenn Mullin

Tantric Buddhism in both the Yoga and Anuttara Yoga traditions, takes a fivefold approach to enlightenment. This fivefold approach involves the integration of the energies and wisdoms (“mindfulness applications”) that are referred to as “the five buddha families.” The five are also linked to the five main chakra centers of the body, and thus an understanding of them is fundamental to the process of “easy enlightenment,” meaning the much-discussed “enlightenment in one lifetime.”

How The Mind Works

Based on Gelek Rimpoche’s transcript, these six sessions will explore ten universally core functions of our minds. Rimpoche’s accessible approach shows us how to use these mental faculties and lays the ground for us to become more realistic, capable, and resilient in any and all situations. An aspect of Buddhist psychology, understanding these functions provides guidelines for a healthy mind that are applicable across all mental, emotional and spiritual disciplines.

Thursdays, March 2, 9, 16, 23 & 30, 7:00– 8:30pm

Presented by Jewel Heart Instructors Mark Magill from Jewel Heart New York and Hartmut Sagolla from Jewel Heart Ann Arbor.
How Mind Works is offered online via Webinar. The six sessions will be recorded and posted to a private webpage available for review only by those registered for the course.
