GANDEN LHA GYEMA

One of the most popular practices in the Tsong Khapa tradition, Ganden Lha Gyema deepens our connection with the enlightened through meditational exercises and enriches our inner development. With grounded appreciation for the spiritual teacher, this practice uplifts through generosity, respect, purification, rejoicing and many beneficial activities. Instruction on specific visualization practices with the Migtsema mantra. Included: explanation and practice of the Foundation of All Perfections, a prayer of the Graduated Path to Enlightenment, composed by Je Tsong Khapa himself.

Deepening Awareness: Meditations on Mindfulness and Compassion
6 weeks, May 17, May 24, May 31, June 7, June 14, June 21

Becoming more aware of our thoughts, feelings and sensations through meditation opens the door to understanding the nature of our mind and how it influences our experience. Alongside this growing wisdom compassion is cultivated as the driving force to free ourselves and others from suffering.

Weekly Practice Sessions

The weekly practice sessions consist of guided meditations on the practices of the Ganden Lha Gyema, the Foundation of all Perfections and the White Tara Healing Meditation. Drop ins are fine.

Every Tuesday, 7.00 pm to 8.30 pm

The Healing Practice of White Tara

8 weeks: Tuesdays, March 20 – May 8, 7 – 8:30pm

Tara is the mother goddess of Tibetan Buddhism, known for her quick and compassionate activity. She is particularly associated with healing and long life. This course uses visualization techniques relying on feminine energy of White Tara to overcome physical, mental and emotional suffering.

The Four Noble Truths

8 weeks: Thursdays, March22 – May 10, 7 – 8:30pm

This course introduces Buddha’s revolutionary message that suffering can come to an end through one’s own efforts. Following Gelek Rimpoche’s transcript Four Noble Truths participants rely on readings, discussion and meditation.
