Other Cleveland Events:

May and June Jewel Heart social hour
2nd Friday of the month

We continue to get a good turnout for the Friday night Jewel Heart social hour, and will extend the event for at least the next several months.  We had an even dozen people last Friday, and the night was spent figuring out how to play Buddha Wheel, and single-deck euchre; the only team that knew what they were doing for sure were the scrabble players.  There was plenty of tea and coffee, and probably too much in the way of cookies and sweets.  For the next event, we plan to branch out into veggies, pita bread and hummus.  The next social hour will be May 11th from 7 9pm.  In June it will be on June 8th.   As always, all are welcome; if you have a board game you’d like to share, please bring it.  If we get tired of board games, we’ll explore the art of conversation; we might even re-arrange the tables to form a “conversation pit.”

Picnic Time!
It’s time once again to gather the Sangha for a cookout at Bill and Susie Kirchner’s house in Medina.
Date: Saturday June 16
Time: 4:00-9:00 pm. We’ll light the grill around 5.

Bill and Susie will provide hot dogs and veggie burgers to burn on the grill. Guests are asked to bring a side dish to share and whatever they’re drinking.  Please RSVP to [email protected] or (330)722-7770 by June 11. Email if you need directions.

March – April events and classes now posted

Come Celebrate Jewel Heart’s 10 Years in Tremont!
Friday March 9, 7-9:30 pm

Coming to Tremont for the March ArtWalk?  So are we!  Jewel Heart Cleveland will be open the evening of March 9th , offering coffee, cookies and conversation to anyone who drops by.  You don’t have to be Buddhist; everyone is invited to join us at our storefront location, 2670 W14th in Tremont. We’ll open the doors around 7pm.

Our 2nd Friday night open houses will provide a low-key social event for Jewel Heart members, as well as an opportunity for anyone passing by to stop in for a cup of coffee or tea, a home-made cookie or two and a little get-to-know-you with a lot of friendly people. This kick-off event on March 9, will also celebrate our 10 years in Tremont.  Rumors are that some poets and musicians may stop by!
