The Ganden Lha Gyema is a powerful guru yoga of Je Tsongkhapa, which can be used as a daily practice or when doing a MIGSTEMA retreat. Gelek Rimpoche will give weeklong teachings on this practice, including rarely taught visualization meditations.

Glenn Mullin, a scholar-practitioner who has written extensively on the lives and works of the fourteen Dalai Lama and curated many Tibetan art exhibits, is known for his lively and knowledgeable teaching style. He will be speaking at Jewel Heart Ann Arbor area Feb. 3 and 4 and can be watched via webcast at JH Cleveland or by subscribers.

Gateway to the Spiritual Path
Wednesdays, beginning January 11, 7-8:30 pm
Do I want or need a spiritual path? What kind? What are the main principles of the path taught by Buddha? These are questions raised and discussed in this 8 session class based on the Gateway transcript by Gelek Rimpoche. All are welcome
Instructor: Susan Kirchner
Class fee: Free for Jewel Heart members, $80 for non-members – but if you cannot afford this, please come anyway and discuss a full or partial scholarship with the instructor.
Odyssey to Freedom (continuing course)
Mondays, beginning January 9, 7-8:30 pm
Six-Session Guru Yoga practice session
Sunday, Jan. 8, 12ish to 1:30 pm
For all those with HYT initiation, this practice session will include time for Q&A and a chance for new initiates to practice with longer term practicitioners. If there is sufficient interest, a class on the short Six Session Yoga may be scheduled. If you are interested but cannot attend the Jan. 8 session contact Anne.
Concentrated meditation practice evenings
Thursdays, 7-8:30 pm
This free weekly practice session offers Q&A or brief meditation instruction from 7-7:30 pm, and two silent sittings from 7:30-8:30 pm.. Beginners are welcome.

Initiates in Mother tantra only
Thursday, February 2 – 10th day of the 12th month – Lama Chopa Tsoh offering 7:00-8:30 pm

All those who have taken initiation in a Mother tantra ( for example Heruka, Vajrayogini, Chittamani Tara) from Gelek Rimpoche have the commitment to offer tsoh on these days, the 25th of the 11th Tibetan month and the 10th of the 12th. We will practice at the Cleveland center on the dates listed above. If you have the commitment but are unable to attend, please contact Anne or Susan for instruction on how to do the offering on your own.
