Fall Sangha Gathering and Potluck
Sunday, Nov. 6, 11 am – 1 pm
Come to hear Rimpoche’s broadcast talk from 10-11 am and stay to share good food and meet or reconnect with other Jewel Heart folks. You will have a chance to talk with the officers and committee chairs who help run Jewel Heart Cleveland. Bring a dish to share – if you don’t cook, bread, cheese or fruit are fine or come anyway even if you don’t get a chance to shop.

Mandala Offering Workshop: Creating a Sacred Universe
Sunday, Nov. 6, 1-3 pm
The mandala offering is one of the best methods for purification and building merit, and has many other benefits as well. This workshop will demonstrate several forms of the offering, and all participants will have a chance to practice will a mandala set. Handouts included.
Free will offering of $10-20 for JH is suggested, but as usual, come even if you can’t afford this.
Anne Warren will lead this workshop.

Je Tsongkhapa Day Tsoh: Tibetan Festival of Lights
Date and time: Tuesday, December 20, 7-8:30 pm
This year, Tuesday, December 20 is Ganden Ngamchu or Je Tsongkhapa day, a time to commemorate the life and teachings of Je Tsongkhapa, founder of our Gelug tradition. The center will be illuminated by more than 100 candle and electric lights offerings, as well as flower and water bowl offerings. We will chant the Lama Chöpa Tsoh in English and with some verses sung in Tibetan; a flyer describing this practice is available for newcomers.
Please bring a food offering, such as bread, fruit, cake or cookies. Canned goods will be donated to local charities, while other food will be shared after the ceremony. All are welcome, children included!

Jewel Heart Cleveland Holiday Maker’s Faire (aka Holiday Arts and Crafts Sale)

This year’s holiday fundraiser will run from mid November through December 20. Plan to find all your holiday gifts and treasures here! Displays of handmade jewelry, ceramics, photos, knitwear, fiber art, and more by talented locals will be available during all Jewel Heart events in November and December.
The sale will feature a holiday party and open house on Friday, December 9, 6-9:30 pm, to coincide with the Tremont ArtWalk. Invite all your friends and family! Shop early and shop often to benefit Jewel Heart and the skillful artisans who make the work.

Concentrated meditation practice evenings
Thursdays, 7-8:30 pm Meditation will not be held on Thanksgiving
This free weekly practice, with Q&A or brief meditation instruction from 7-7:30 pm, and two silent sittings from 7:30-8:30 pm, is free and open to all. Beginners are welcome.
