New Events and Classes Added to Programs page

Please check new program listings including a Welcome to Jewel Heart evening, a Gateway class and webcast of wisdom teachings and a Sunday talk by the eminent Geshe Yeshe Thapke.
 
In addition we are planningthe following events for Sunday, November 6, so save the date:
 
From 10 to 11 am we will have a live webcast talk by Gelek Rimpoche
 
From 11 am to 1 pm we will have a potluck lunch and Fall Sangha Gathering. Come share good food and meet or reconnect with others Jewel Heart folks. You will have a chance to talk with the officers and committee chairs who help run Jewel Heart Cleveland.
 
 
From 1 to 3:00 pm we will hold a special workshop, Creating a Sacred Universe: The Mandala Offering. The mandala offering is one of the best methods for purification and building merit, and has many other benefits as well. This workshop will demonstrate several forms of the offering, and all participants will have a chance to practice will a mandala set. All are welcome, beginners as well as long term practitioners.  Handouts included.
Free will offering of $10-20 for JH is requested for the workshop, but as usual, come even if you can’t afford this.

Cleveland Fundraiser News
After a slow start, this year’s silent auction fundraiser was our most successful ever, raising more than $2000! Many many thanks to all those who donated, bid on or purchased items in the auction. Your generosity will be used for good purposes.

A Blue Lotus Imports sale fundraiser will be up from mid September through mid October. Lora will donate a portion of sales from her Himalayan import items to Jewel Heart.

Holiday Arts and Crafts sale: Places are still available for artists, craftpeople and makers of all sorts. No entry fee, and only 30% of sales go to Jewel Heart. Bring as many or as few items as you wish, with the one requirement that all items be produced locally. The sale will run mid-Nov thru mid-Dec.
