Ven. Thubten Chodron to teach at Jewel Heart Cleveland!
Monday, June 6, 7:00-8:30 pm: “Three Kinds of Compassion”
Tuesday, June 7, 7:00-8:30 pm: “King of Reasoning-Dependant Arising”
Thubten Chodron, founder and abbess of Sravasti Abbey, and author of many wonderful books will teach at Jewel Heart Cleveland two evenings in May. She is a skilled and knowledgeable teacher with a sense of humor and insight into our lives as American students of Buddhism.
Suggested donation is $20 per evening, but please come even if you cannot afford this and give what you can.
Cleveland Jewel Heart Picnic
Welcome summer with your Jewel Heart friends at our annual picnic at Bill and Susie Kirchner’s house. Hot dogs and veggie burgers will be provided, you should bring a side dish or dessert, musical instruments are always welcome.
Date: Saturday, June 25
Time: 4:00-9:00 pm. We will light the grill at 5:00 pm.

Silent Auction Fundraiser will run mid-May through June
Please bring any donations for the auction to any JH event, and get ready to bid or purchase often. You will find unique items at low prices, while the entire price goes to help Jewel Heart continue to offer classes and programs.
Commemorate Buddha’s Birth, Enlightenment and Parinirvana
Wednesday, June 15 set up at 7 pm, tsoh 7:30-8:30 pm.
This is Sakadawa, the day Tibetans commemorate Buddha’s birth, enlightenment and parinirvana. We will do a Lama Chopa Tsoh, mostly in English. All are welcome to attend. Please bring an offering of food such as cookies or fruit.
Note: NO CONCENTRATED MEDITATION ON MAY 12 OR 19.
