Gelek Rimpoche to teach at Jewel Heart Cleveland

Kyabje Gelek Rimpoche, founder and spiritual director of Jewel Heart, will teach at Jewel Heart Cleveland on Saturday, March 19, on the topic ‘Gross and Subtle Impermanence.’
Time: 10 am – noon and 2 – 5 pm (check website closer to date in case of changes)
We invite your generosity : if you can afford a donation of $20 (or more) this will help us support Jewel Heart and Rimpoche’s work, but please come anyway even if you cannot afford this.

Odyssey to Freedom class starts March 7
Gelek Rimpoche created the Odyssey to Freedom as a concise and complete Lam Rim, encompassing the
stages of the spiritual path from your current situation to full enlightenment. Rimpoche also addresses each
topic in a short videotaped teaching. This is ideally a second level course
Module 1, Mondays beginning March 7, from 7-8:30 pm Instructor: Anne Warren

Dates: Tuesdays, beginning April 12

Based on Gelek Rimpoche’s book, Good Life, Good Death, this 8 week course will explore pragmatic methods to bring depth, meaning, and joy to our lives. Each class session will include discussion as well as brief opening and closing meditations. The book is available for sale or may be checked out of the JH Cleveland library.

Je Tsongkhapa Day Tsoh: Tibetan Festival of Lights
Date and time: Wednesday, Dec. 1, 7-8:30 pm
This year, Wed. Dec. 1 is Je Tsongkhapa day, a time to commemorate the life and teachings of Je Tsongkhapa, founder of our Gelug tradition.
We will chant the Lama Chöpa Tsoh in English and with some verses sung in Tibetan; a flyer describing this practice is available for newcomers.
Please bring a food offering, such as bread, fruit, cake or cookies. Canned goods will be donated to local charities, while other food will be shared after the ceremony. All are welcome, children included!
