Kyabje Gelek Rimpoche to give Green Tara initiation June 28 at 2:00pm
Green Tara is a female Buddha who is closely connected with the Buddha of Compassion, Avalokiteshvara. Tara’s Tibetan name, Drolma, means liberator. Green Tara responds with extraordinary speed and power to destroy all outer and inner obstacles and to liberate beings, overlooking no one. When global religious/cultural curtains are lifted, we find her manifestations revered around the world, answering the calls of all in need of her assistance or protection.
Tara’s invitation to liberation is for everyone, especially those who are fearful, downtrodden, without hope. Her energy is kind, forgiving and quick to function, helping, protecting and healing both directly and behind the scenes. The practice of Green Tara praises her extraordinary qualities and also expresses our deep wish to acquire these qualities for ourselves.
Gelek Rimpoche will give the initation of Green Tara at Jewel Heart Cleveland on Saturday, June 28 beginning at 2pm.. All are welcome to attend. Please contact [email protected] or talk with Anne or Susan if you have any questions. If you have a thangka or poster of Green Tara that you would like to display during the initiation, please let us know.
Saturday, June 28 beginning at 2:00pm
