Compulsory Tsoh Days
Those who have taken Mother Tantra initiation are required to offer tsoh on two festival days each year. The dates for 2013 are Monday, January 7 and Monday, January 21. Please bring a food offering and your ritual implements if you have them.

If you have taken initiation but are not able to participate in the tsoh at the center, you may meet your commitment by making the offering on your own. If you need to do this, but do not know how, contact Anne aewarren at sbcglobal.net.

New Classes:
The Three Principle Aspects of the Path
The Three Principles of the Path is a condensed summation of the path to enlightenment including the determination to be free, unlimited compassion, and wisdom. Gelek Rimpoche’s transcript “The Three Principles” serves as course material. The transcript will be available for purchase at the first class. This class is open to all with a sincere interest in Buddhism. Mondays 7-8:30 pm. Beginning in January. Led by Bill Kirchner.
NOTE: The first three classes will meet Wednesdays beginning Jan. 9 then move to Mondays. This class is free for Jewel Heart members, or $10 a week for non-members.

Lama Chopa Overview
Gelek Rimpoche will be teaching on the Lama Chöpa at the Vajrayana retreat in February. This class will offer an overview as preparation for this retreat. Open to those who have taken initiation or who plan to take initiation in February. Printed copies of Rimpoche’s transcript on the Lama Chopa will be available for sale or can be downloaded from the digital dharma section of the JH website.
Sundays, 11:30-1 pm, Jan. 6, 13, 20, 27, and Feb. 3, 10 and 17.

Concentrated meditation practice evenings
Thursdays, 7:00-8:30 NO MEDITATION FEB. 21 OR 28 DUE TO WINTER RETREAT
This free weekly practice session offers Q&A or brief meditation instruction from 7-7:30 pm and two silent sittings from 7:30-8:30 pm. Beginners are welcome. Led by Anne Warren or other senior student

Purification practice aka create a sacred environment aka cleaning the center
Contact Nancy at 216-662-6999 if you want to be part of the cleaning crew, and she will contact you when a cleaning session is scheduled (usually every 4-8 weeks). A bit of aerobic exercise and great purification – what could be better?

2013 Jewel Heart Vajrayana Winter Retreat with Gelek Rimpoche

The focus of this retreat is Lama Chopa, a tremendously important devotional practice that draws us close to the guru and ultimately to our enlightenment.
This retreat is open to those who have highest yoga tantra initiation. There will be an initiation on the first two days of the retreat, however the specific initiation will be announced later. Registration is required and seating will be based on the timing of your registration. The teachings will be offered without charge due to the kindness of sponsors. Membership and donations are encouraged. Final Check-in is required and is on Thursday, February 21, 11:30 – 12:30. The initiation may begin around 1pm. Please plan for an early afternoon start time. The retreat closes Sunday afternoon, March 3. Please do not schedule your departure before Sunday evening.
