The Three Principals of the Path Course Offering

The Three Principals of the Path is a condensed summation
of the path to enlightenment including compassion for oneself, unlimited compassion for others, and wisdom that cuts through our misperceptions. This course will review the first principal and cover the second and third.

Silent meditation, readings and discussion take place.

Meeting Wednesday evenings, 6:30 – 8:00 pm
, starting April 18, for 8 sessions.

Location: 109 Water Street, Boyne City (2 doors down from Red Mesa); enter at side of building along brick walkway. (Please note, unfortunately, only stair access to 2nd floor.)

Gelek Rimpoche in Northern Michigan in June

Jewel Heart Northern Michigan is pleased to welcome Gelek Rimpoche, founder and spiritual director of Jewel Heart, to northern Michigan for Buddhist teachings and a White Tara Healing and Blessing Workshop.

The teachings will take place at Boyne Mountain Resort at the Solace Spa on June 3 and 4.

Introduction to Tibetan Buddhism

The timeless value of compassion, clarity and wisdom is indisputable. Tibetan Buddhist master Gelek Rimpoche will introduce us to what Buddha’s millennium-old experience has to offer our lives today, here and now, in today’s stressful and ever-changing world.

White Tara Healing and Blessing Workshop
Tara, goddess of compassion, is known for her quick attention in times of need, helping to heal, to awaken love and to protect from fear. Female Buddha in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, White Tara is the embodiment of all enlightened compassionate activities and quickly brings her loving touch to all who call upon her.

In this workshop, Gelek Rimpoche will introduce us to White Tara and her many qualities as well as help us build a connection with her through a special Tara Blessing.
