We are pleased to announce that Gelek Rimpoche will give weekly Sunday morning talks from 9-10 am Central time beginning Sunday, January 1. Speaking from Ann Arbor and New York and other locations, these talks will also be live video webcast. All talks can be viewed at the center (except for Jan. 1).

This talk looks at the unfolding of the enlightenment tradition as prophesied by Buddha himself, and at how you can be part of the fulfillment of that prophecy.

Perfection of Wisdom Mantra and the Five Paths
Explore the Five Paths to enlightenment through teachings by Gelek Rimpoche on the profound meaning of the perfection of wisdom mantra, the essence of the Heart Sutra. This ongoing course follows Rimpoche’s transcript titled Perfection of Wisdom Mantra. We have three class dates left for the course in January.

Creating Space: Clarity and Insight through Meditation
Meditation provides us with a clear stable mind, necessary for a happy life and the foundation for deepening our spiritual journey. This course offers hands-on experience with the basic elements of meditation using breath, posture and techniques for coping with distractions and laxity of the mind. An excellent introduction to Tibetan Buddhist meditation for beginning and intermediate students.

Three Principles of the Path
The three principal aspects of the path to enlightenment highlight the importance of developing the determination to be free from suffering, compassion and wisdom. Gelek Rimpoche’s transcript, The Three Principles of the Path, serves as course material. This course is recommended to follow Odyssey to Freedom.

NEW: Vajrayana Brunch
For the benefit of new and longtime Vajrayana practitioners alike, we’ll get together on Sunday, Jan. 29 to do our Vajrayana sadhanas and have an informal Vajrayana discussion over brunch. Megan will provide coffee and donuts; please bring a donation.
