Special Guest Speaker – Lene Handberg
Special Guest Speaker – Lene Handberg
Eastern Inner Science of Mind and Reality
Friday, September 30, 7 – 9:30pm
In this free public talk, Lene Handberg will introduce the essence of Unity in Duality through the inter-related nature of subject-object, body-mind and energy-matter; key topics for understanding how we influence and experience our reality.
Tarab Tulku Rinpoche and Lene Handberg founded Unity in Duality, an educational system based on the ancient inner science of mind and phenomena known as tendrel, the inter-related nature of existence. It is a very important training system for individuals interested in personal development and spiritual practice as well as for practitioners in various fields of service, such as psychology and health care.
Weekend Workshop – Open to All
DREAM-BODY: Stepping Stone for Personal and Spiritual Transformation
at JEWEL HEART – 260 W. Broadway, New York, NY 100133
Saturday, October 1 – Sunday, October 2
Saturday, October 1: 9:30am – 12pm and 2 – 6pm
Sunday, October 2: 9:30am – 12pm and 2 – 5pm
Reliance upon sense perceptions and the discursive conceptualizing mind on the basis of our body of flesh and bones, leads to us to a belief in a solid reality and keeps us in the strong grip of dualism. From the point of view of Tantra, spiritual development is seen as a progressive mastery of increasingly subtler embodiments and the body/mind/reality interrelationship – and thus the usefulness of working with the dream body-mind. The tantric practitioner, with lucid dream abilities, trains to master the dream body-mind, gaining insight into as well as transcending the layers of reality.
Tarab Tulku further tells us that mastering either the dream body or the imagery body provides a great opportunity to directly and radically deal with underlying key problems that otherwise unconsciously rule our lives. Such mastery brings further opening to profound intuitive insights.
Methods for training the imagery dream body-mind will be practiced this weekend to transform inadequate mental structures; the mastery of which gives access to deep inner strength of being and is an important stepping stone to mediate between our present body and mind condition and the energy body-mind needed for serious spiritual progress.
