Jewel Heart winter retreats are traditionally restricted to vajrayana practitioners and are intended for practitioners who have experience with Mahayana Buddhist teachings. This year Demo Rinpoche will give teachings on the highest yoga tantra of Yamantaka.

YAMANTAKA TEACHING RETREAT 2026 FAQs
Is it a practice – or teaching retreat? This is a teaching Retreat on Yamantaka Solitary Hero, based on Tri Gyaltsen Senge’s classical commentary.
Is there any initiation? There will be a White Tara initiation on the last day, open to everybody.
Do I qualify to register ? This retreat is open to those with a previous Yamantaka initiation.
Is it onsite only? It is onsite and also online.
What can I do to prepare? You can read Gelek Rimpoche’s transcript on Yamantaka Solitary Hero and Tri Gyaltsen Senge’s commentary.
Can I miss any days? It is preferable to attend the whole teaching for having the complete transmission, but it is not a requirement to attend all sessions.
Can I attend partially onsite and online? Yes, that is possible.
Are there any commitments? By attending this teaching you will not get any extra commitments besides the ones you already have from attending whatever Yamantaka initiation you received.
