Tokden Rinpoche kindly accepted Demo Rinpoche and Jewel Heart’s invitation to return to Jewel Heart in Ann Arbor, Michigan and give the Heruka Initiation, Six Yogas of Naropa teaching, and conclude with a public talk and initiation still to be determined.
Tokden Rinpoche is one of a handful of the great living Gelugpa masters educated in old Tibet who is available to give us these initiations. He is one of the lamas specifically invited by Gelek Rimpoche to give initiations at Jewel Heart. His first visit to Jewel Heart was at the 1993 Summer Retreat.

Heruka Initiation, Friday – Sunday, November 6 – 8
The Heruka Initiation is restricted to those who have had, or are qualified to take, a highest yoga tantra initiation (also known as maha anuttara yoga tantra). Due to the restrictions, this event will be onsite only at Jewel Heart Ann Arbor. Our current understanding is that the only commitment will be the Six Session Guru Yoga.
Six Yogas of Naropa, Monday – Friday, November – 9 – 13
This event will be onsite and online. Details are still to be determined.
Public Talk and Initiation, Saturday – Sunday, November – 14 – 15
This event will also be held onsite and online. Details are still to be determined.
