In these weekly Sunday morning teachings spanning from March 2013 to December 2014, Gelek Rimpoche elaborates on the “Tibetan Buddhism” series, with the earlier sessions on the foundational Compassion for Oneself meditations, laying the ground work for the later sessions emphasizing Great Compassion for all living beings.
Unconditional Love and Compassion of Bodhimind
The recommended motivation is the unconditional love and compassion of bodhimind. This is the precious mind that reaches beyond ourselves to encompass all sentient beings. Because of its vast scope, difficult to attain, we work first with a “created” bodhimind that aligns our thoughts with a wish to benefit sentient beings. We are reminded that the ultimate nature of the mind is pure and that all negativities are impermanent and therefore can be purified.
