In these weekly Sunday morning teachings spanning from March 2013 to December 2014, Gelek Rimpoche elaborates on the “Tibetan Buddhism” series, with the earlier sessions on the foundational Compassion for Oneself meditations, laying the ground work for the later sessions emphasizing Great Compassion for all living beings.
The Virtues of Faith, Shame and Embarrassment
We are connected to a long line of great spiritual teachers who have faithfully put into practice Buddha’s teachings. This spiritual tradition has stood the test of time. Knowing this is important for the development of our own faith. Intelligent faith is the mother who nurtures us on the spiritual path. Shame and embarrassment, things we don’t usually care to hear about, are also considered virtues in that they help protect the mind from negative thoughts that can lead to bad actions.
