In these weekly Sunday morning teachings spanning from March 2013 to December 2014, Gelek Rimpoche elaborates on the “Tibetan Buddhism” series, with the earlier sessions on the foundational Compassion for Oneself meditations, laying the ground work for the later sessions emphasizing Great Compassion for all living beings.
The Power of our Thoughts
Thanks to the power of our mind, we have the ability to guide ourselves in a positive way. This is in line with Buddha’s injunction: “Avoid negativity, build positivity, and tame your mind.” Our thoughts have consequences. They become habits, which form our character, which becomes our reality and our future. That is why a good, strong positive motivation, infused with love and compassion, is so important in attaining the ultimate goal of Buddhahood.
