In these weekly Sunday morning teachings spanning from March 2013 to December 2014, Gelek Rimpoche elaborates on the “Tibetan Buddhism” series, with the earlier sessions on the foundational Compassion for Oneself meditations, laying the ground work for the later sessions emphasizing Great Compassion for all living beings.

Bodhimind – Treasure of Virtue

The special nature of bodhimind means that not only positive actions become virtues, but even while not actively focused on virtue we gain the positivity of not killing, not stealing, not lying, etc. As Shantideva says: “Even while asleep or unconcerned/A force of merit equal to the sky/Will perpetually ensue.” It is really a treasure of virtue. And it is our mind, motivated by love and compassion for all sentient beings, which makes this happen.
