In these weekly Sunday morning teachings spanning from March 2013 to December 2014, Gelek Rimpoche elaborates on the “Tibetan Buddhism” series, with the earlier sessions on the foundational Compassion for Oneself meditations, laying the ground work for the later sessions emphasizing Great Compassion for all living beings.

Wisdom and Compassion

The spiritual development needs wisdom and compassion. Rimpoche goes into wisdom in terms of emptiness of a solid core person. Ego is the misunderstanding of that reality, at the same time there is the pure part of the being that can obtain enlightenment, on the basis of understanding and developing bodhimind, the wish to become enlightened for the sake of all beings.
Vajrayana is the fastest way to do that, by transforming ordinary birth, bardo and birth into the extraordinary Dharmakaya, Sambogakaya and Nirmanakaya of a Buddha.
