SEM: NATURE OF MIND – ALBION, MI SUMMER 2003

In this series, you will be listening to original unedited audio teachings by Gelek Rimpoche.

In this 2003 Joyful Summer Retreat held in Albion, MI, Gelek Rimpoche presents the important teachings known as sem in Tibetan, or the nature of mind.

These teachings focus on the relationship between energy and mind and the mind’s capacity for liberation and wisdom. Opening the retreat, Rimpoche lays the ground for developing our motivation with teachings about the base, path and result through the Four Noble Truths and buddhanature. He introduces us to a description of mind and explores the relationship between mind and energy. We learn about taming the mind, the unlimited capacity of mind, the cause of mind, and mind’s transfer from life to life. The last two days of the retreat, Rimpoche elaborates further on mind through the topics of liberation and wisdom.

Eleven sessions in total, they range from just under one hour to approximately two hours in length.
